Carissa Hyde is the author of Georgia Peach and Fighting the Shadows (Backfire). She was born and raised in Southern California and only managed to escape the sweltering heat for one year when she studied abroad in Wales. Now residing in the same small community where she grew up, Carissa can undoubtedly be found drinking coffee, trying to parent her three small children  (who can be likened to three cats that have ingested too much catnip), and writing at all hours of the night because the days belong to her family. When Carissa is not hyped up on caffeine, wrangling children alongside her husband, and banging her head against a keyboard, she enjoys reading and re-watching the same TV shows on repeat.
